FIFA World Cup 2018 - BF Presents Surprise

I'm terrible at surprises. I really am. I just get so excited and want to share so bad! So, instead of giving my BF his "Start of the World Cup" gifts at the start of the World Cup (Thursday), I opted for a few days early :P
I got 4 festive items to get us into the spirit! Attached are Amazon links for you to get some of the same if you'd like!
FIFA World Cup 2018 Flag Banner
1) Flag Banner
This Flag Banner has a flag for each of the qualifying countries of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Each flag is about the size of a sheet of plain white paper (actually, 8 inches by 12 inches) and they come already attached to one another via ribbon.
I am SOOO HAPPY with this purchase. It livens up our living room so much and was the most eye popping of the surprises! The look on my BF's face was so priceless.
One of the easiest ways to decorate for any festivity are hanging decorations. :) In addition, this makes for great memorabilia as well, once the games end.
T shirt and Sticker Album
2) T-Shirt
There are a ton of T-shirts on sale right now for the World Cup. However, I found the simplest black one I could, as that's more the BF's aesthetic.
I can't vouch much for the durability of the shirt or design yet, as he hasn't worn it down yet. However, the fabric itself seems pretty standard and thick. Quick note though, this STANK up our apartment when we opened it from the packaging. It wasn't a terrible smell, so much as it smelled like chemicals and printing. We tossed this in the laundry immediately.
3) Official Sticker Book
I didn't know this was a thing, but apparently it is - and its a pretty big deal for people to have this sticker book! The booklet comes with some informational pages, as well as spreads for each team with spaces to collect the stickers of the team's players. The one I purchased also came with 3 sticker packets (5 stickers per packet). BAE has more patience than I do and will be waiting until Day 1 to open them and see which ones he got.
4) Team Temporary Tattoos
So these actually aren't going to get here until tomorrow and in truth, they're more for me than for BAE. LOL! Given that I'm not very sporty, this is how I'm going to getting into the World Cup. Each morning, I intend to ask what team I'll be in support of and I'll display a temporary tattoo for that country proudly (hand or face - depends on what I'll be doing that day). I just hope I don't get too many questions about my opinions on teams from it haha!
Having lived together for about a year and a half now, we've actually never bought any live TV service (be it pay by channel services, cable, or satellite). We just didn't watch enough TV for it to be worth the expense. We were perfectly happy with just our subscriptions (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and HBO<--For that GoT tho!). But, the BF came up to me a few times with a very sincere desire to watch the World Cup Games from his own couch, rather than going to a bar or to his parent's. Soooo, we decided to finally cave and purchased a Playstation Vue subscription, so he could watch the games. (If anyone wants to know more about why we chose Vue over its competitors or bundling with our existing Internet company, let me know and I'll make a post about it :). )
