Lace is great – I love lace. This glam bag aesthetic is most definitely my style. I love conventional and classic girly. Still, I honestly have such a large collection of IPSY bags though that I don’t care much for the packaging; although the effort is cute.
February 2018 IPSY GLAM BAG - Contents
My IPSY bag for February 2018 included a 0.2 oz 5 Shade Eyeshadow Palette in Beach Crystals by Pacifica, a 30 ml Hand Moisturizer by -417, a 1.8 g Precision Liquid Pen Eyeliner in Black by Mellow Cosmetics, a 1.65 oz Strengthening Grow Long Leave-In Conditioner by Marc Anthony, and a Blending and Shading Eye Brush 249 by Luxie Beauty.

I really like Pacifica as a brand – they emphasize natural, vegan, and cruelty free makeup. I’ve found a lot of products that I like, and at a very reasonable price. I highly praise their lip balms and tinted lippies. However, I haven’t explored much into their eyeshadows. This little eyeshadow palette isn’t really my cup of tea color wise, to be honest. I wouldn’t be very drawn to this palette at a store. Still, the colors looked pretty on and had fair buildable and blendable pigmentation (pic below). The biggest gripe on these would probably be a lack of staying power. When I looked in the mirror 6 hours later, the pigmentation was dulled significantly – even though I really hadn’t done anything in those 6 hours.

I flip flopped a couple times on this moisturizer, so I’m not too sure how I feel about it yet. I believe it is supposed to be unscented, but in result it smells like baby powder. I don’t really mind that. I prefer an unscented lotion to an overly scented one, filled with drying alcohol. The texture of this moisturizer is less tacky that most moisturizers, it’s very smooth and absorbs quickly. Even so, my hands feel superficially moisturized. They feel moisturized and soft, to the touch. Yet, my hands still felt inevitably dry after about 15 minutes.

The staying power of this eyeliner is great. I was impressed with it, it didn’t fade from it’s jet black throughout the day, nor did it excessively bleed like other non-water proof eyeliners. This dried quickly and stayed put, which is what I really care about with my liquid eyeliner. This pen’s felt tip was a little longer than most liquid liners, making it a bit difficult to maneuver. A steady hand and patience are key.

I don’t use leave in conditioner…though maybe I should. Either way, I don’t have much to compare this too. However, I did like the smell – it smelled like I had just walked out of the salon. Typically, my hair washing routine includes either air drying or blow drying my hair post shower with macadamia oil to help tame the frizzies. I subbed in the conditioner for the oil and for the most part, it worked. I do think that the oil worked better. Still, I’ll continue to use this alongside the oil and see if I like the results.
Blending and Shading Eye Brush 249 by Luxie Beauty:
Good makeup brushes are expensive. I always appreciate a quality makeup brush coming into my collection for cheap. To be honest, nothing made this brush very special. It was standard and worked well. The shader was a bit dense. Otherwise, good brush in a pretty color – I’m happy with that.
