Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays 2017 - Food and Prices

Today, November 10th, 2017 (let's excuse the fact that this is published after - I'm painting a picture), is the first official day of the Festival of Holidays celebration at Disney's California Adventure. As a Disney passholder and a girlfriend to a man who owes me food because I've bought our groceries for the past month, I thought it would be a grand idea to try to eat everything (so long as I thought it was appetizing to me) that this Festival of Holidays has to offer. ---Obviously my diet is going downhill, considering I ate an In N Out cheeseburger this evening; even though I literally inched into the drive through line with my car, giving myself all the opportunity in the world to rethink my decision. ---

This series is a work in progress; as I can't even imagine how sick I would get if I tried to eat everything in one sitting. Sickness from both the amount of calories/fat/sugar/goodness, as well as the fact that I have a wheat allergy that I like to ignore. I will post reviews and pictures along the way.

For those of you out there that don't know what the Festival of Holidays is, I'll give you a quick low down on the whole shebang. At Disney California Adventure Park, there is an annual celebration (this year from November 10th to January 7th) that combines a food festival, live entertainment, and holiday cheer (including Kwanzaa, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.) - all for the low price of admission and inexpensive bits of cuisine (see sarcasm here and pricing below). Still, I adore it - the feeling of joy, community, and curiosity is unrivaled - but maybe I just hold food in high esteem. Truly though, it's a fun experience for those that like food festivals and live entertainment, there are many different foods for sale, featured at 13 different booths. In addition, I hear the alcohol is quite tasty; I don't drink much though. I'll add my review of something if it meets my fancy, but I can't exactly call myself a refined palette. Hand me a sugary cocktail or a cheap sangria and I'm a perfectly happy camper.

Something I would recommend for Annual Passholders is to take advantage of the "Sip and Savor Pass". For $45, you get a card with 8 coupons to be used at the festival booths for food/non-alcoholic drink. In addition, you get a simple lanyard to hold your coupon card. I have purchasing this pass in the past because it can be used throughout the duration of the festival. This pass can be found at the Sonoma Terrace at the AP Corner - found near the Wine Country Trattoria Restaurant. I must advise you to keep in mind that for $45 per card of 8, the average cost comes out to about $5.62 per course. Let's say you're paying for the lanyard too and just knock that down to $5.50 per course. I would recommend using the card only on courses costing more than $5.50 and paying cash otherwise, in order to get the most bang for your buck.

I'd say that's enough chatting, if you have specific questions, feel free to leave me a comment and I will try to answer them to the best of my ability. From here include the delicious menu items.
